This was a real down home Sunday night show that was consistently pleasant. Tight and mellow would aptly describe this show. Loved the Iko, Jack Straw,

He's Gone and Brokedown. From late October '79 through '81 Jerry was living large to good effect.

The GRATEFUL DEAD "Live On Stage" October 26, 1980 at Radio City Music Hall, N.Y.C., New York, ... U.S.A.

set from Radio City. I highly recommend adding the acoustic set from "Radio City" to your 1980 GRATEFUL DEAD collection. New York City crowds were only second to the hometown crowds of San Francisco for energy, excitement and fun. For those of you not familiar with the GRATEFUL DEAD before 1980, I highly recommend you expose yourselves to the April 71 shows at the Fillmore East and West. I also recommend listening to 1970-10-04 Winterland Arena. The IA recommends the users of Windows XP should view this web-page with RealPlayer. RealPlayer is a free media player you can download at www.realplayer.com. For easy streaming or downloading use open RealPlayer and go to the IA GRATEFUL DEAD section. Click the VBR M3U link to open the songs in the Playlist. If your Playlist is not open, open it by clicking the Playlist icon at the lower right hand corner of RealPlayer. Once the songs are in the Playlist, double click the song to play it, then click the record button at the lower left hand corner of Realplayer to record it. When the red line reaches the other end click the stop button to download the song. Your song is in the RealPlayer Downloads folder. Repeat these steps for each song. Eat, Drink, Be Merry and Listen to the GRATEFUL DEAD. Thanks for the LOVE from 1980. PS: Remember to click the "DeadLists Project" link and get the poster/handbill for this show.

folks who forget the days of Maxell II's and the cassette deck in general. The Dead pioneered "accepted" bootlegging and we should all be extremely 'Grateful' they did. How many near perfect recordings of any other band from that era are so readily available? (climbing off of soapbox now...). As for the show, an amazing set list and thanks to Mr.Hinko, et al for making it sound so cool!

can only imagine what nuts the crowd was going on ripple. The boyz are AMPED. how cool is the Iko? Try in on! It is very sweet. ripple's better than the released LIVE albumn - smooooth, lil short. The electric sets makes the SB version way worth it - Phil's sparing but strong - Brown Eyed, Roses, Jack A Row, China Doll, Stella - take your pick, Jerry's voice is close to its best this time of year...
